In this video Matt Eagles, Head of Patient Engagement (Havas Lynx), speaks with Dr Tapas Mukherjee, Associate Medical Director (Havas Lynx), and Patient Advocates Vicki Dillon and Jon Stamford, to shine a light on the patient’s experience of clinical trials.

On Thursday 30th May, we hosted a focus group where we brought together patients, carers, industry advocates and more to discuss the trial patient experience and how considering every aspect of this can lead to trial success.

 

Professor Biankin, a world leader in pancreatic cancer, is unearthing the genetic and molecular secrets hidden within the biggest collection of pancreatic tumour samples in the world. His findings could lead to better ways of matching therapies to patients, and uncover new avenues for treatment. Increasing survival from pancreatic cancer is one of our top priorities, and research like Professor Biankin’s is vital to help more people survive. In this talk, Professor Biankin discusses the importance of finding the very best treatment for the patient, with a focus on Precision Oncology, understanding the data and how this can be applied and shared.

Alder Hey Children’s Hospital were looking to provide their patients with an enhanced and personalised experience, that could make their time in the hospital less daunting and more enjoyable. They wanted to set the global benchmark for a child’s healthcare journey. In this short talk, Cameron Day, Commercial Director at ustwo, discusses how they created Alder Play to enhance the patient experience at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.
